  16. <p>Another Round in Court
  17. </p>
  18. <p>     William Hurt isn't the kind of guy who has quiet, let's-be-friends
  19. breakups. The actor's divorce from Skitch Henderson's daughter
  20. Heidi is getting as messy as his 1989 split from dancer Sandra
  21. Jennings. Last week tabloids reported lawyers for the pair are
  22. wrangling over a provision in their prenuptial agreement that
  23. requires Hurt to pay Henderson, whom he met in rehab, a larger
  24. settlement if he falls off the wagon. (Henderson would receive
  25. a smaller settlement if she couldn't stay sober.) Hurt's attorney
  26. wouldn't comment.

  28. <p>Welcome to Sean the Cutup
  29. </p>
  30. <p>     Siren. Antistar. Psychostalker of ex-boyfriends. These are the
  31. terms too often used to describe SEAN YOUNG, an actress who
  32. would like to notify the world that she is also capable of levity.
  33. The beautiful erratic is turning comedian in three movies: Fatal
  34. Instinct, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
  35. Fatal Instinct, which opens this week, has Young--a woman
  36. once accused of sending a dismembered doll to former beau James
  37. Woods--spoofing her image as an obsessive femme fatale. But
  38. Sean maintains a certain fascination with the macabre. The project
  39. she can't stop talking about is an upcoming TV movie about an
  40. execution broadcast on pay-per-view television: "Can't you see
  41. that really happening?"

  43. <p>Lineman with Snugli
  44. </p>
  45. <p>     The sensitive '90s dad arrived in the macho N.F.L. last week,
  46. and the meeting wasn't pretty. Houston Oiler DAVID WILLIAMS,
  47. an offensive tackle, missed a game against the New England Patriots
  48. because he chose to be with his wife as she gave birth to their
  49. first child, a son. Williams' bosses reacted somewhat unappreciatively,
  50. docking him $111,111, which is a week's pay. The Oilers insist
  51. that Williams could have flown into Boston the night of the
  52. birth and arrived in time for the game the next day; Williams
  53. says he couldn't find a flight, but admits that he didn't make
  54. much of an effort because he wanted to be with his baby. The
  55. Oilers' attitude seemed especially retrograde since they won
  56. the game, an unusual event this losing season.

  58. <p>     Film festivals are always to some extent showcases for nobodies,
  59. and the Hamptons International Film Festival was no exception.
  60. But sandwiched among the shorts by unknown auteurs were three
  61. works by director-wannabe actors Daryl Hannah, Matthew Modine
  62. and Rob Morrow. No word on who the next Bergman in that trio
  63. will be.

  65. <p>     While most of America may view Tom Arnold merely as Mr. Roseanne,
  66. programming executives at CBS do not. The network is concocting
  67. a new sitcom for the star of the failed Jackie Thomas Show in
  68. which he'll play a father of five who lives in a trailer while
  69. building his dream house.

  71. <p>     A popular new French-language biography of tortured artist and
  72. couturier Yves Saint Laurent has the designer peeved, not because
  73. of its detailed discussion of his alcoholism, drug use and homosexuality
  74. but because it quotes him as claiming that his valet stole from
  75. him. Saint Laurent denies he said this.
